replace factory air box with cone filter

this is probably a no brainer to most of you seasoned tgp guys but i replaced my factory airbox with a open cone filter and WOW instant spooling amazing how much this helped my bottom end not to mention i can actually hear the turbo now recommend to anyone who hasn't already done this! will try and post pics later. gonna clean the engine up as soon as it cools down a little

It works much better if the filter is mounted directly on the turbo. Then the accordion tubing can't be sucked shut.

Anything is better than that small airbox made for a 1L geo.

thanks i will do that. that was my intention to put this in the turbo but just way to tight..

That was one of the first things I did to mine, right off the turbo. Huge difference and love the sound.
