Thank you all for your positive comments regarding my 5 year build of my custom 1990 Grand Prix Turbo. I put almost 3000 hours and 50k into it and realized today
that is was worth every penny. This car on the auto cross track rides like it is on rails with the Nascar front and rear suspension that was built for me by
a Nascar engineer. Kudo to his talent in designing this suspension system.

After taking the car on the auto cross track and smoking my competitors I have decided "NOT TO SELL THIS BEAUTY"

I  LOVE THIS CAR..!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thanks again to all the folks who understand the blood sweat and tears that went into building not only a show caliber car but a real street performer.

Enjoy your cars...only 3000 total ever made between 1989 and 1990 we all live in a very select club of McLaren Turbo's

Understand that your car isn't a TGP any more. Even ignoring the cosmetics, since it's SOOOOOOO much better than the standard car now anyways.

Thanks for your positive comments. This car is by far my favorite in my collection. It's a beast of a TGP now..!

Angelo,

I appreciate the artistic freedom you expressed in what you thought made the car awesome to you, and respect anyone who does that.  Some people think making the TGPs into 5-speeds are cool ( and so do I even though I have not done so) but have driven two different ones (TGPilots & the 5-speed Kuntzie had before it was his).

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, and in such as long as your happy with your car than that is awesome.  As one of the older (in age & ownership of TGPs)  hobiest with TGPs/TSTEs welcome to the forums but I have this to ask......where have you been for the 5 years of owning this car?

Hi Thomas,

Thank you for your thoughts.... I joined about 5 years ago but never really had the time to talk to anybody during this build.

All I can say to you is that I'm glad this project is over and I finally get to enjoy it after 5 years of blood sweat and tears.

Thanks Thomas ....Enjoy your car..Please put a pic out there so I can see it.  Thanks Angelo

Hi Angelo, I can see you've put lots of time and effort into the car, kudos on all the hard work.

I was curious, are you still running the factory crossover pipe? (connecting the two exhaust manifolds to the turbo)

The factory ones crack and leak at the flex bellows causing a rich running condition.
