i picked up my tgp few months ago and discovered it had a rod knock, instead of giving up on the car i saved it me and a good friend of mine rebuilt the engine heres some pics, its got a n/a crank now, fresh plugs and wires, cleaned up the throttle body still have to adjust the idle screw because the previous owner messed with it and fixed vaccuum lines that were broke off, car made 386whp before the teardown on the 60 trim turbo absolute monster. still have to button it up then off to body work and find a set of tgp wheels for it

Working very hard here

It's a journey too many of us have taken as TGP owners.  Enjoy your new engine.
2004 GTP -  3.8 Blown - Only modding for MPG.
1997 GTP  - 3.8 Blown - Too many mods to list.
1996 GTP - 3.4 DOHC - Twin to my 1997.
1995 SE - soon to be a 3.8 turbo car.
1990 TSTE x 2 white cloth
1990 TSTE x 1 maroon leather
1990 TGP - 5 speed.

Good for you man! Glad to see you cared enough about the car to rebuild the motor. Can't wait to see the finished product!

By the way, not to hijack the thread, but I need to ask, is the yellow box the vehicle speed sensor? I think I need to change mine, I was doing 0 mph on the way home today, it's been a little shaky lately, I think it is finally dead.
