Hello everyone,


It's been some time since I've visited this forum, even longer since I went to w-body.  Things have changed a bit since I've been gone, I see.  Some of you may remember me.


How has the community been?  Has the TGP following increased at all in recent years?


I still have my original 89, it's been sitting since 2004 I think, I did pull it out of the garage last summer to move it to a new storage location.  I still have a lot of parts and things strewn about, I just moved my stock wheels in the garage today, and my brand new never installed front valence panel I've been storing, so I thought I would drop by the forum.   I sometimes think about that low mileage TGP I bought and sold to a kid here in town, I remember seeing it traded in at a dealer in Massachusetts, I think I recall he traded it for a trailblazer or something... :icon_cry:  Anyone know where that car is these days?  I think I sold it with 42k miles or something ridiculous like that.


I have given some thought to unloading my original car, but it's a difficult decision, as it was the first car I bought with my own hard earned money.  I would like to get it up and running again sometime, but the transmission is bad and I don't have time to complete the 5speed swap on it.  Priorities change, other cars and trucks and bikes take up my disposable income these days.  I now have Saab 9-3 2.0T, the interior reminded me of my TGP actually. I also have a 94 Toyota 4Runner that received a swapped 96 3.4 L 5VZ-FE motor, and slapped a supercharger on top of that. 


I find it funny that I can still google search "1989 Turbo Grand Prix" and see a picture of my car somewhere in the mix.  Brings me back a ways, and I'm not even that old yet.  I see some familiar names on here, along with some new ones.  Glad to see the community still lives and that you guys are still keeping the TGP alive and well.

I seem to remember a 42k car popping up for sale recently.  I can't recall where.

Yup I remember that one. Ken bought it from you and shortly traded it in on a trailblazer. I have not seen that one reemerge as of yet. Glad to see your still around and a TGP owner!  :icon_biggrin:
