Cutting out at WOT

ok here is another silly-ass question from the peanut gallery.

so im lookin at this TGP i wanna buy and the guy is like well it cuts out on the line when you mash it. the car is bone stock... anyone got any ideas..  BTW i realize its hard to diagnose a car from a description but any help is much appreciated.

Could be alot of things.

Most obviouis is the Park Neutral Rev limiter which won't let it got past 3000 rpm.

Second could be the wastegate not opening properly and hitting overboost and shutting down the motor.

3rd could be the stock airbox has a dirty filter and is sucking the flexible tube shut.

After that are more complicated issues.

get the car above 30 MPH and then Rev it, the Rev will go past 3K then,

Right now my car is doing that too but its from needing a tune up.
