Hey members
For anyone who has visited the site for the last few years, it is no mystery that the membership and posting traffic has slowed down to a crawl. The Turbo grand prix is slowly fading in to the past, and that has left me with a decision to make in regards to the future of this forum.
Starting January 1st 2021, new member registrations will be disabled for this forum, and new topic creation will be turned off.
Starting February 1st 2021, topic replies will be turned off. At this point the forum will enter an "Archive" status and will remain on the internet as a large resource for the Turbo Grand Prix. I will enable guest access to all previously hidden forums (with exception to administration forums), so all topics can be accessed without a registered user account.
Future TGP questions/topics can be created over at the W-body.com forums https://www.w-body.com

Thank you to all the members that have contributed to the large data resource this forum holds for the TGP. It is my goal to keep this online for as long as we can do so securely!

Off Topic / Re: Happy 10 year Forum Anniversary

10 years is impressive. It'll still be here for as long as I can continue to afford paying the bills :)

Thanks guys, but I think it's time to let this one go, it's lived a good life. Besides, with the single stage paint, hail damage, and the motor work.. it wouldn't really be worth restoring.. In other words, I'd end up putting more money in to it than I would be proud to admit I did.
I'll find another one some day.. I'm in no hurry.

Aw.. that's my old 5 speed TGP.. I knew it when I saw the red painted upper intake pipe.
The chip was a custom tuned 5 speed chip done by Kenny Kouba (TGpilot) on these forums. Wasn't based off a Topgun chip at all.
That's a JeffM X-over pipe too BTW.

What the hell is wrong with this dealership? Terrible customer service, sketchy price manipulation.. not sure what to think about them.

I am.. but after the 1800+ mile to and from dayton and how well the Impala did, if I go back to a first gen it's gotta at least be as reliable as the Impala has been.. Ideally I'd prefer a low mileage TGP like this red one was.. just not the price they had it at.. haha
Why do you ask?

Not listed on Autotrader, or the dealer's website.. maybe they sold it?

I did, the low miles is what did it. Always wanted a TGP with low miles like this.
I made a visit to the dealership that I used to work for here in Hays, and talked to my former boss about the car. He called them and tried to see if they would wholesale the car to the dealership here, and even for a wholesale deal they wouldn't budge on the price. They will be sitting on it for a while.

I never heard back from these guys either.. they must not have thought I was serious about the trade.

Looks good! Single stage paint, or BC/CC?

For Sale / Want to Buy / Re: My TGP For Sale

I know your wanting to move it pretty quickly but i've gotta finish buying this house before I make any other financial changes. Should be closing here middle of april, so after that, if you've still got it, I'll get a hold of you and we can discuss it some more.

They called me back today finally.. I gave them the details on the impala and asked what kind of a trade deal we could work out... I'm not holding my breath for anything fabulous.. but we'll see.

The paint isn't oxidizing anywhere is it?
