My rear control arms/lateral links are kinked on the driver side.  I think I'm reffering to them by the correct name, they are the pieces that go from the center of th car to the base of the knuckle on either side of the leaf spring.   Well, the driver's side are both kinked in towards the spring. I'm wondering if there are any available upgrades (adjustable perhaps) for these.  The stock parts seem pretty thin/flimsy just wondering if there is somethign stronger.

Or, if anyone happens to have some sitting around they don't want. ( I have them on my parts car but it doesn't look real easy to remove them)

There are performance versions available from GM Performance Parts, for the newer 97-03 that work, they are tubular and much stronger. Part number is 12498649. Also BMR Fabrication makes adjustable ones http://www.bmrfabrication.com/W-Body.htm

Are you talking about the arms that run front to back on the car or the arms that are on either side of the leaf spring?

tyroelite

the ones that run along the leaf spring from the central point at the back of the car.

in that case your only option is replacement.  i don't think the '97-'03 W-body uses anything like that because they use a rear coil suspension.  the trailing arms someone mentioned earlier are the small bars (about 18" long?) that run from under the knuckle to a bracket underneath the rear seat - they run along the car, not across it.

mine are all bent to shyt on my lumina. the rear controle arms from a new GP are the same lenth. as for the lateral arms i need to mearsure the bolt holes center to center. i am also thinking of making a set depending how cheap stock ones are. i want to weld a solid strip of metal in the stock arms then powdercoat them. it should be much stronger then stock. OR go all out and build tubular ones and make my own polly bushings. not sure yet..

But i am in the same boat. my trailing arms and my lateral arms are all bent to hell... must be from tossing that heavy ass car around corners... Hmmm..
