Before I get started...forgive me for asking the some of the same questions everyone else does, I just got back from seing the world for my country and am a little rusty on my TGP / STE knowledge.

STE runs like a champ! :patriot:

However the TGP has some minor issues.  :nono:  replaced both front rotors & pads, had the rear rotors turned & replaced pads also.

1. Was getting a solid BRAKE (red light) all the time- and still do WTF?
2. Once brakes are applied I get the flashing ABS light (yellow)?
3. After depressing the brakes 40 times & checking fluid it is O.K., I also hear the pump running sometimes (normal operation)
4. How do I pull the codes from the PMIII unit so I can compare the codes to the ones listed on ChrisA's site.

Thanks for the help. :usa:

could that possibly be a bad brake light switch?  that's what mine would do and it was the switch (my Cutlass, not a TGP).  do the brake lights turn off when you pull up on the pedal?

Make sure you check the setting on the rotary girter.  Sorry, I don't know shit about Walletshitter 3, but I didn't want the view count to go up w/o the reply count.  I'm hoping to learn what is wrong, because it seems that all is okay.

same thing happened to mine. Took it to all the local brake shops, Midas, etc.. said they wouldnt touch it cuz either they couldnt get the parts or it was too uncommon and they didnt know it.

Anyway, they said take it to a dealership. So I did. It was the accumulator and pressure relay. And it cost $1100, thanks GM for raising the prices on these parts. If you read Jeff M's sticky on the recent price hikes, its bull$hit. This is one of the most expensive things to fo to the TGP besides tranny rebuilds.

Sorry for the bad news.

First time on since last/6am this morning, after a few   , some work done and ebay stuff then I see this.........ah like I have said before, not knowing a lot of times is more a pain then the problem    So, in a hurry or something :silly: , I guess 15 people are bored today and/or want to know the answers too    so take a valium :spin:     .

Solid red brake light is the position switch for your parking brake, just reach down there and smash it with your finger or bend a little with some needle-nose to shut the light off.

Pretty sure since it so common after this many years Yellow is low accumulator pressure, and Prior Reman on the internet sells these for $100, instead of GMs insanity.

Pump motor running once at a stop is about normal, maybe twice when the fluids are squeezing by the seals, or the accumulator is getting low, 3 or more times and good to do the accumulator now before you wear out the relay!!

No way to pull codes easy, special tool for this and most all ABS units, but do these tasks and should be set.  Please follow back up if these ideas worked or if you found better info, we like to confirm fixes so we feel more trusted of our ideas for the next  :patriot:

Wow...good responses, just got back from taking family to the Zoo, then some more wifey activities tonight with her friends / partners at work.

Plan on getting up early tomorrow and working on these things, will keep you posted.

My parking brake does not work at all, figure it may be rusted, will try to reset that switch manually.

Thanks, I'll take some more welbutrin now  dont want to freak out since returning from the gulf.

didnt get to work on the breaks yesterday, was helping an friend install in intercooler on his GTP, then a lot of snow here in Colorado.

Did notice one other thing on the TGP though, when breaks are applied (at stop) there is an clicking sound every 5 sec or so (sort of like an turn signal indicator.)

I'll keep you all posted on the fix. 8)
