I said this on the sunroof post. Now the moderators will definitely see this. I would like to request a rule out of common courtesy on this website to type properly. The stupid slang spelling of words (or should I say "wurdz" for the ignorant) is immature and improper.

If you want to show you are obviously 16 years old, make your own TGP website. For the rest of us PROFESSIONAL adults, lets try to be more proper, i.e. normal.

To put it another way, I'll bet 10 to 1 the people who type "chatroom" and "IM" language have pennies on the dollar compared to the people who are serious about these cars. This means we are buying serious parts, tuning and testing, fueling this website/market while others get excited about their K&N filter and true duals they hacksawed themselves.

Think about it.

Well as a moderator and an avid car/motorcycle mechanic, I read a persons post until I get to the slang spelling and stop reading. They may have something I know the fix too...but if they do not show the common courtesy to spell like an educated person...then they are not going to get my educated reply. :!:

As far as making a rule on the board to spell like you have at least a 6th grade education...that is up to Waskie as far as I am concerned. 8)

amen to those who talk (and message/type) as if they were raised by responsible adults.  Foul language is one thing and doesn't really bother me but if I were to reach down with my left pinky finger to hit that "z" key that much it would give me such a cramp that I would have the common sense to know that they put the damn thing there for a reason---reason being it never gets used!!!!!!!!!!!

I am only 16 years old, but damn, I at least type so people can understand what I'm talking about.  It really annoys me when people are using all of the "IM" abbreviations.  This is a forum, not a chatroom, you can spend the extra second to write the whole word out.  I have had people tell me that I write too properly on forums, how do you do that?  I just make it so people can understand what I'm talking about.  And its not that I don't want people to know, but I don't want people to think immediately when I type that I'm just some 16 year old kid trying to put on an air filter.  I am serious about my car (even if I am only 16), so I'm serious about asking about it, and helping others with theirs.

I have pretty much come to the conclusion that if they don't have the time to type out the word properly, then I don't have the time to help them with their problem.
