As you know I'm selling the TGP and in the mean time my daughter is driving it.  The other day she told me she heard something running under the hood with the car off, I told her it was probably the cooling fan.
I guess she heard it again yesterday and didnt thing anything of it, the next morning the car was totally dead.
I hooked up the battery charger to it and the brake motor was running.  I took out the fuse and charged up the car, got it running and replaced the fuse for the brake motor.  All works nornally so far.
So it seems the brake motor was running to charge the system with the car off. :?
Anyone ever heard of this?  I looked into all kinds of possibilities and I cant find anything that will allow this, it just cant happen.  Only one explination, she didnt turn the car all the way off, see I can pull the key out with the car running (a Pontiac thing).

Could be the motor relay is stuck open?

Correct, the relay is stuck, (close  ).  You can tap it to get it unstuck, but its a trick to get to, down between the driver's shock tower and ABS unit, near firewall, need to pull a few wire looms and lines out of the way to get a clear shot at it.  Myself and others have taken the relay out (eaiser to pull from through the fenderwell when taking it out) and open it up, clean off the pitted contacts, aligned them a little better (there is somewhat of an angle to the contacts to allow them to wipe, which is a good thing to keep!) and put it back together, add a little caulk to the end where there was some, and be good.

Good luck!

Yea it might be her, she is 16, driving a TGP

So far no problems and I didnt have to dink with the relay.  I looked at the schematics and I did find where it could be the relay, It was obvious.   Still have the antilock light but I think its the right front sensor, I did a wire repair there.
