EDIT: There are also more then two types of superchargers...there are the roots style, the centifugal style, screw, and G-ladder(pretty neat..based on an OLD design, they're used on those VW Corado's).

however, applied to 8 cyls, more displacement is more power, period.

drawback? i dont thing OHC motors can run as gigantic of cams as the nitro burners run.

Finally, the LARGEST drawback to ANY motor putting down power, is TIRES. We need better/more.whatever rubber. ask any drager.....

My brothers new GA, has the 2.2.  I told him (Not thinking about how NEW it was) it's not a 2.2, it's a 2.4.  We disagreed, so he popped the hood.  And there stood the first Ecotec I have seen in a while.  Man that fucker's a MONSTER.  Hell it's probably 2 ft. across the cam cover.   :shock:

Slicks are the best. they are nhra's biggest handicap. if those monsters arent good enough for the 4000 hp, i dont know what else is. perhaps a back to the future pt 2 hoverboard?
