Quick, stupid question... the hose that goes from the compressor side of the turbo up to where the waste gate hose goes is called what? Its like 1/8"-1/4" wide and slipps over that little nipple by where the exit from the turbo (intake side) is.  and I'm guessing but it seems to regulate the pressure because when I knocked it off... it went kinda crazy.  Is that how the wastegate knows how much pressure is in the turbo and when to open/close??

It should go from that nipple, to the boost control solenoid on the top og the engine, then to the wastegte. It's just a vaccuum line, but yes it regulate boost.

It supplies the boost control sol. w/ the vacuum it needs to regulate boost.  That line comes off, it can't regulate boost.  Pull the other line off and

It'll cause overboost[bad] when it's off. When I had my cross-x replaced, that line was cracked. So when I floored it form a stop, it would spool up like crazy and then the car would shut off [protecting itself].
