Has anyone other then me every think of what kind of aftermarket support the TGP could have had if it was RWD and had a 5-speed like the Thunderbird SuperCoupe had?

I have two comparison magazine articles from the late 80s that compares the Supercoupe and TGP [with the TGP on top of course  :lol:  8) ]. The TGP could have been the next GN, a competitor against the RX7 Turbo, Supra turbo, and the 300ZX turbo. Not to mention the amount of space under the hood that would have been freed up.

any chance you could scan either of those articles and post them for the rest of us to take  a peak at?? or at least share the magazine, year and month they were in?

The one magazine is currently in my car, and I'm waiting on the 2nd one from ebay to arrive at my house. But I'll post them when I get the chance  8)

The Supercoupes werent as limited in production as our cars. It really wasnt the FWD that killed us, it was production numbers and the typical buyer was of older persuations(40's and 50's).

What were the "competitors" cars sticker prices in 1989-1990?  8)

Mazda RX7 Turbo=$26,219

So the TGP was closely comparible with the rest of the turbo cars in it's day. What was the Turbo Thunderbird? 8)
