I'm about to take the TGP off the market and give it a new look.  I hate the red/gold combo, looks great on the black cars but not right on the red ones.  So the gold crosslace wheels are going black like the GTX wheels.  I love those wheels and they will look great on a red car.  The windows have a dark tint and the hood louvers were painted black before my time.  I really think the red/black combo works alot better.  Black racing stripe from front to back??  I think that will look good too.  I have already de-badged the sides but left the rear.

Give me your thoughts on the stripe, one wide single or thinner dual stripes?  IT WONT LOOK GETTO, I'M NOT INTO THAT....

I'd go with 2 stripes...
Tho I would do it with some wide ones(GM style)...
I was thinking of doing tha same to my black one...
But going 'gold' instead to give it tha trans am look...

I don't think it will look ghetto...
I seen a  RED 'beretta' with wide SILVER stripes and it look cool as fuck...
Plus it stood out in traffic alot...
As for BLACK stripes, ummmmmmmmmm I don't know...
But silver and red went well together...

I say 2 silver stripes.

Agreed.  I'll be going for gunmetal grey on mine, to match the charcoal leather interior that's going in.  :wink:  I'll have touches of the same grey on some other various exterior pieces.  I'll be going for a pearl white and navy blue look on the TSTE.

Don't know about the racing stripes.  Some cars look damn good in them (like the TA mentioned), some go horribely wrong.  That being said, I wouldn't run the stripes completely off the hood.  I'd put an end to them a little over 3/4 of the way down, and on the trunk, I'd end them just after they start going down off the lid.  Just my $.02.  And I agree that black stripes may be a bit odd of a contrast.  Can't say that for sure, though.  Some cars can get away with it.  I'd suggest you take some photos at appropriate angles, and photoshop stripes of various designs and colors before you make a permanent change.

I think my vote would have to go for something like this:


Silver metalic paint and either silver or red vents... that'd look HOTT!

I like your design but there is already alot of black.  Silver would be drowned out.

I just replaced the fuel pump and fuel sending unit and during the test drive it sounded like the turbo was whining?  Never heard that before.
