POSSIBLE FUEL PROBLEM?

I have pretty much eliminated a coolant leak...

However, The whitish-gray smoke appears to be Unburnt FUEL I was able to drive it today and It smoked the dammed Neighborhood up in ONE PASS.

I now have new Plugs, Plugwires, new O2 sensor, the Top Gun 160 Chip, the 160 T-stat, its still running rich like hell. Scan tool is showing RICH

The crossover was redone by the shop that did the swap so I have to rule that out unless its got a air leak?

What about a stuck open fuel injector....?? Would not show up on the Scan for OBD1 would it? It only shows the M/S Signal.

Any Ideas????

Have you checked out the FPR?  It could be wasted.  But I've never heard of THAT much of a problem.  I'd look at injectors and ECM/wiring.  Good luck.

ECM/wiring is next on the list... Injectors are fine... Plugs arent black...

If it was dumping that much fuel, it wouldn't run.. period, plus, if the plugs look fine, it's not a fuel issue.
I went through 3 sets of plugs trying to find out what was causing my TGP to dump fuel into the cylinders. A shorted TPS sensor (at 100% WOT) will do just that.
As I said on W-body, check the oil return hose if you haven't replaced it.

It's fun, and irritating at the same time. I've got my girlfriend's black 90 in the garage that won't run either..

Get off the fuel kick, you are barking up the wrong tree!!! Pay atten: to the w-body board where we have responded to you at. A TGP with an overrich fuel condition will give you black smoke... PERIOD.

Yeah, if your car is running rich it would be black. Oil burns a kind of greyish blue color. so check for oil leaks. Just my  :twocents:

Yes I got ya... I begininng to think its not fuel but OIL. And It appears it could be a bad Turbo oil seal.
