I've been TGPless for almost a year now.. And I have taken some time to notice a few things....

in 1989 The TGP must have been "From the future".  Back then I was ... 13 years old. My family drove nothing but Toyotas, and my dad's Supra was also from the future.. I thought nothing could beat that car for design and appeal...

The TGP out performs ... Everything, in my book.  No, it's not the fastest out there, but it IS extremely powerful and top-end robust.  I own one of the premier CRXs in the Honda community, and the TGP walks all over it without trying. My MR2 SC has to pull boost and get hyper (5000+ rpms) to do what the TGP does pulling minor boost.  My NA Supra didn't stand a chance against the TGP.

Compare the TGP to cars double, triple, even quadruple the price. Those "luxury" cars haven't got half the options, nor the comfort of 22 way power seats.   When my friend got married, I was in the wedding party. On the way from the church to the Reception hall, we passed where we parked the TGP.  "DRIVER!  Pull over!" and 4 of us got out and PREFERRED to arrive in the TGP.

Compare the TGP to the sport car scene.  While carrying 3 passengers, my friend's Black TGP raced a 1995 Talon TSi (modded and SCREAMING) to keep up with the TGP, which had the AC on and wasn't even pulling more than 3 psi. The TGP laid the Talon to waste.  The rear passengers were unaware of a race.

Today's cars don't really have the heart and soul of yesteryear's options list.. Now a power sunroof and Navigation computer are the buzz-options. The TGP still makes these cars look primitive and sloppy.

Ever notice that a BMW M5 never races you beyond 130 mph?

Ever have a friend, that owns a Mercedes (or other high-dollar luxo car) gives you the thumbs-up, and his head hung low, about your wiser decision to purchase the TGP?

I'm spoiled. Forever and ever.  Despite it's problems, the TGP is, in my mind, the superior car for American roads.  All else compares, and falls short.

Anyone agree? Would you buy another type of car?

Damn well said man! I would buy other w-body's, BUT if I had the money I'd buy another TGP.

You got that right!!!

TGPs are the "HOT SHIT" hands down.  I love to roll on people who think my car is a regular GP.  I also love when ricers roll up next to me, I just step on the gas a little and watch there necks break as they turn and say "what the???".  The interior is killer too.  I got the power sun roof, i love that thing.  The only thing that pontiac did wrong was not but the 5 speed into production.  They knew it was going too be BAD ASS.

I agree everbody loves my TGP, and it looks like crap, (needs a paint job, will get one soon) i also have like everboy lining up to race me, and i don't know half of them, car might be a little bold looking. Anyways, would you guys think a tgp would be worth less (value $$$) if you swapped a five speed in it, i want to, but i probaly will sell the car someday (will re-evaluate ten years from now. But just in case. thanks in advance,
