I have LT1 #24's going in my 3.1 Turbo

just make sure there seated and cliped in the fuel rail properly since they are slightly diffrent than the stockers

Cool, taking my 24 # Accells out - 80 (something) octane fuel in Italy doesnt do well (black smoke) de-tuning untill I get back to the states.

80 octane?  Ouch.  Is there an additive you can use temporarily over there?  I would imagine it could get expensive in the long run though.

Have looked everywhere - found a BP station that sells 95 for roughly $5 a gallon.

Tried to get some Tarco shipped over....

Tried to get some Toulyne and or Zylene....

Considered about ALKY injection......

De-moding for now is my best choice. 8)

Thanks,

In a word yes. You can go to 30# with good driveability. Tried 42# motor wouldn't take them at WOT. Idle and normal drivability were fine.

As far as the lt1 injectors. Depends on what year and how there rated as to what # they are. The 98 up (new design skinny body) seem to be the best, there a new disk design that has a superior pattern. You really need to check the P/N aginst the rated presssure. Some of them are rated at 58# rather than 43.5. Regardless they will all work. Here's a little help.

You have to slot the new style at the top for the clip to fuel rail so they will seat in the intake manifold properly. Not hard you can even do it with a hack saw.

I just replaced my 30# pintle with 28#@43.5 P/N 080155931 and there was a noticable difference.
