I'm trying to fix the alternator whine that is coming from the passenger side front speakers.  So I'm asking for any help on how to get access to the speakers....the dash ones are just clipped on as it appears, but are there any tricks to getting the covers off, I'm not having that much luck and don't want to pry to hard and break something.
As for the door speakers, I'm totally clueless on how to get the covers off/get to them...
Any help would be appreaciated....

The dash speaker covers are built into the dash pad, you will need to remove the dash pad to get to the speakers. My passenger side dash speaker is buzzing/whining a bit also(not sure if its radio interference or just a bad speaker though..I tried unplugging the amp like someone suggested and it still did the same thing).  To remove the dash pad, you need to remove 2 screws up above the instrument panel and one 7mm bolt that will be directly in the center at the top of the glove box(pull it out and let it drop down on its hinges/hang instead of removing the whole assembly).  I might be leaving out a screw or two..so look around before trying to pull the dashpad off(pull it up from the front gently and it should pop up and you will now be able to pull it out by pulling it forward).

EDIT: How do you plan on fixing the "whine?" Replacing the speaker(s)?

You have to remove the door panel to get to the door speakers.  There are panel clips all the way around, just pry very carefully, but first remove a few screws around the door handle.

The TGP's have the torx head bolts on the door panels also don't they, I know my 93 has two of them(one directly under where you grasp the door from the inside to shut it/open it) and one that you will see when you remove the doorlock/window switch panel)...there's also one screw behind the little reflector/light lense on the door..don't forget about it.

Yes they do have 2 torqs I got them off, and the door panels and everything off and haven't found anything....I honestly don't know what to think now

I got up under the glovebox where the wires go through for the CD changer and what not, and have had no success fixing the problem.  All 6 speakers are making the whine I have found out actually unlike the first post.  I almost thing that the power wire for the radio is getting interference through the alternator or possibly the plug wires aren't very good and letting resistance through?  Anyways the car now sits in the garage torn apart until I can finish it tomorrow so any ideas before then I'm willing to try, I was happy to find out is has 4 new Polk 4x6s in it....

Check alternator output voltage.. perhaps a blown diode and in some cases a dirty ground connection. There are a few to check.

actually it is a bad ground.

Unbolt the thin black wire off the battery where it grounds to the car and sand off all the corrosion.   Now the sound is gone. (if your ground to the stereo is clean)
