how do you get a cranksensor out that the top broke off of

herb427sc

You can play around on the outside with a needle nose
pliers or (2) try drilling and screwing in a self tapping screw.

The last resort is removing the oil pan...

turby

I know someone that sprayed the hole out with brake cleaner real good and used JB Weld or something like it to attach a bolt to the broken piece. After some careful wiggling it came right out.

I had that happen once I just pushed the broken part all the way back untill hit hit the crank then I used a sheetrock screw by hand and lightly screwed it to grip it on the edge just enough to get a grip and slide it out. it took 2 trys but came right out.
