Well guys I was thinking about making a locked sticky that has a list of chip definitions and what they do. Now obviously we will not have 998 different definitions with exact reasonings...but to get the majority of them with explainations of what each do will assist others (including me! ) with their DIY projects.

If there are specific code definitions that people know...please post them here and I will prune them up to the locked sticky. If there are objections to what a person has as a definition to the code...please keep it civil and GIVE exact educated explainations of why you think it is wrong.

Only reason I want it as a locked sticky is to keep it as condensed as possible and "on-track".

Please guys ad to this thread as much as you possibly can and I will think of a very nice REWARD for the person who ads the most!

This is open topic for both 5-speed and Auto tranny gurus who wish to participate. This is about understanding what the lines of code/definitions mean and what effects they will have. Please as always...specific changes made to Jeff M's chip are not to be discussed.

Thanks guys!

Since there have been no replys,I will give it a try.ESC ATTACK AND RECOVERY RATES.How fast the ecm retards and advances timing following a knock detection.MAX ESC RETARD VS RPM AE AND PE MODE.How much timing to be pulled when knock is sensed.BASE PULSE VE VS RPM AN MAP UPPER AND LOWER.Raise and lower values to achieve ideal afr.CRANK FUEL PW VS COOLANT TEMP.Injector open time when cranking.MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE BLM.How much ecm can correct lean and rich conditions according to block learn.MINIMUM AND MAXIMUM ALLOWABLE INT.Also helps correct block learn(on f-body its locked at 128).These ars just a few of MANY.Maybe some of the more expericened tuners will add more.

Excellent! That is a good start!

I will be adding some the end of this week when I have time to sit down and go through them. Been a crazy week for me! 8)

SPARK RETARD/ADVANCE VS IDLE.How much the ecm advances or retards timing at idle(some people zero out this table to have complete control of timing at idle)BASE COOLANT ADVANCE CORRECTION VS LOAD AND CTS.how much ecm adds/removes timing due to load and coolant temp.POWER ENRICHMENT TPS THRESHOLD VS CTS.amout of tps to go from accel enrichment to power enrichment.MAXIMUM IAC POSITON POSSIBLE.add to this and the iac will open more.at wot the iac goes to max position, the more you open the iac will allow more air to flow into the engine through it.IAC PARK START UP POSITION.when you turn the key to the on position the iac will go to the command steps.(if you add steps the engine will rev higher upon starting which helps with larger camshaft)

Was messin arround this weekend and found this.ASYNCHRONOUS(ASYNC) means that one event(firing of a fuel injector)can happen at the same time as another event(2 injectors firing at the same time)also fuel delivery mode used to deliver fuel pulses for accel enrichment. If you raise your boost(lower rpms) or upgrade injectors you will HALF to adjust all the accel enrichment constants/tables to dial in desired afr.SYNCHRONOUS(SYNCH) means that one event happens after another(injectors fire one at a time)HYSTERESIS.The min or max difference necessary bewteen two values before something happens(or dosent happen).Example PE TPS THRESHOLD VS COOLANT TEMP.at 60C it takes 35.55%tps to enable PE.PE TPS HYSTERESIS is set at 4.30%tps(ATMK)which means you half to reduce tps to 35.55 - 4.30=31.25 % to disable pe.I played with the async tables over the weekend and found that there some driveabilty gains to be had by adjusting the tables.I also have thought about switching to 749 syty.I Have converted 2 f-bodys to this code(supercharged)and they run in the high 10s and it only takes a couple of hours to do(not sure on TGP)If sombody does it before me PLEASE let me know how it turns out.Would also be willing to help if anybody needs it.LATER
