Maybe if I saw it in person...but the hood and nose of that car look like you would be trying to see over a long nosed Peterbuilt! The body panels look so frikkin tall that it over exagerates the chopped top look they are trying to get.

i don't like the new Camaro at all.  fuck ('fuk", "frick" whatever :roll: ) that retro shit and go original GM!!  the car isn't that bad really....not as hideously disgusting as the new Dodge Charger at least.  the Camaro would look better if they toned it down a bit to say the least.  the rear quarter windows scream retro.  IOW the GM guys need to get some original ideas going not rely on this retro craze :roll:  i DO like the new Mustang and i think Ford did that car up right, but no other car maker has gotten it right.  i know the new Mustang is in the retro catagory but at least it looks like a NEW car and looks DAMN good.  the new Camaro and new Dodge Charger syling are wayyyy too retro looking....they look like a custom chopped up restored original.

the BMW?  an awesome car i'm sure....but it looks like a typical boring new car to me.  might as well be the new Toyota Camry from what i can see.  styling is bland to say the least.

IMO 99% of the new cars regardless of brand suck and bore me.  at least some of them are getting the powertrain down but it sucks they have to put whatever kickass engine into such a bland and/or ugly car.  the only thing good about the new Impala SS is the LS4 under the hood.  otherwise it looks like the most broing thing on the road.

if i bought a new car...i'd choose a...um...nevermind i'd save my money and buy something much more nicer looking and cheaper that was made in the mid/late 90s that i could fix and/or modify myself.  why does every car have to look like everything else nowadays?

WOW :shock: and I thought I was the only one that thought this about the lost-in-space :lol: cars today/and their idiot creators  :evil:  With American?s love for itself and everything being under/below us evident with all movies, shows, advertisements and such showing dumb people doing dumb things, so we can make fun of them because we are so much smarter.  And all the "I" this and "ME" that (I-Control, I-Pod etc), it makes me sick and embarrassed to be an American.  And I am waiting for GM to offer up a new Automotive Command Control System like the I-Control but call ?E-Go-Command? :lol:  :lol: (along the lines of E-Commerce and such :wink: ).  I see that GM did show that piece of shit metal with their ?Love-Myself? license plate that reads "GM Design", like who the fuck else would it be, they don't use SLP anymore, or McLaren (PAS is gone), they don't need someone else telling them what to do, they are GM :roll:  You can really get me going, and I have been around Detroit most all of my many years old that I am :lol: so I got some tales to tell, oh yea.  Like thinking about this one, that GM lost a billion dollars last year, and their answer, fire 10,000 workers!!!!........uh, workers?, was it their fault the company no longer knows its shit/business???  They are like a (no one take offense please) 500 lb fat man who blames his weight on the feet for taking him to Crispy Creams, and his hands that force the donuts down his throat, that then decides to cut his hands and feet off to help get that weight down?..how the fuck are you going to function now you idiot!!!  Mazda (I believe) was going into the shitters (sorry so stuck on the ?shit? word, seems to fit more often lately :lol:), so the board of directions and stock holders said?..fire the leaders, its their fault, which was CORRECT, who decides where the ship goes, the captain, not the crew!!!!  Now Mazda has some cars that actually look fucking great (RX8 well, the others!!!), yep!!!....I will be the first to give a nod when it is deserved, would really rather do that than anything negative, but we ain?t got jack shit (again<) to be impressed with these days (yea some exotics, not the Jimmy Durante/massive Nose?d MB-McLaren SLR) .  I respect cars as turbosedan does like the M6 for what it is, lots of great stuff there, but really, its still got that shelve ass butt that no matter how much its been proven to suck-ass on the 7s to everyone else on the planet that has a clue, its still there like a love handle that only a wife/girlfriend, or creator/mom could like, sounds like they have the same massive ego that GM has that robs both of them of seeing and admitting to their mistakes.  GM (here I keep going) did a great one here a few years ago, it took that rancid Pontiac Aztec and spent untold amounts of (some of that billion they lost?..oh you would be surprised how much they spend a year on ALL these ?SHOW-OFF? cars!!!*) cash taking the Aztec, dropping it, huge rims and low-pro tires, aero kit, and get this, a C5R Racing Motor, all wheel drive and racing tranny, and said ?we think it looks good and has great potential?, my god these guys are beyond insane and are just totally obsessed with themselves?..yes!!!.....and they promoted the moron that designed this blunder to head of the new C6 Corvette, oh yea, and that is why the new C6 is just a copycat with the same front end as the old/new Dodge Viper (as does the new HRR/HHR? to the PT Duh!).  One major car mag had both of these American Sports Cars facing the camera on the cover shot of their magazine, I just bet they were hoping someone else would do the honors and write in to bash this stupidity since the mags, after all these years of kissing the manufacturers asses, can?t hold it in any more and have been bashing just like turbosedan, me and others I am sure about the shit coming out and costing way more than cars ever have, more for less, uhhhh, less for more, yea that?s it!!!  Little more bashing on the C6, take a look, really is the same as the Viper, hood scoop, fender arches, snout, and EXPOSED HEADLIGHTS?!?!?!?, you cannot do that to the Vette, that?s blasphemy, that is one of the key things that set the Vette apart years ago, when it got rid of the headlights and got a super sleek front end so super exotic for an American Car, and (this is the key part) allowed body designers to have total freedom to make a car look fucking bad-ass without the headlight in the way!!!!!....it is a real challenge for designers, I know this, and a lot of the things I am bitching about here since I knew a lot of people that worked at GM, suppliers, dealers, and in many related areas while I lived right there in it all, Michigan, I listended to way more stories than there is time to write about here..  And were is the butt?!?!?!?, that C6 got no butt, its cut off shorter than an 80 year old that has lost her bootie and its now sagging down in here boots somewhere I guess!!  

Other things, like why do our cars and GMs cars break and cars like Honda seem to last a bit better???....well GM only thinks of itself (YEP!!) and its money/stocks/stock holders, (and its self-image, oh, I am so awesome!), so cost savings with no limits to what that means are carried out everywhere all the time.  So as one example; when, lets say bids go out for 200,000 Remote Control Pads for side view mirrors on the new Grand Prix for 2009.  Bids come in from the Tier 1 suppliers and GM reviews their bids, GM finds the cheapest, tells the rest to do better next time if they want to play with the big boys, then tells the lowest bidder, to lower the price again, or you don?t get to play ball with the big boys either.  And basically if you don?t like it then fuck-you, fuck-me?, fuck-you I won?t make ANY money, but businesses need these projects and their foot in the door of a big car maker so they have to do it, but geeeeee, lets see, how can they????...well they have to cut corners on this part they make for GM so they can still try and make enough money to cover operating costs (so much for a profit>to allow growth and expansion and diversification etc), no other option there but to cut corners; cheaper components for that part, manufacturing and assembly, and cheaper/less skilled (who gives a shit about my job) workers, and therefore a cheaper costing finished part, that GM will put into our cars, and cheap shit is, cheap, and shitty.  So it don?t last/parts break, and I purposely spoke all this like a simple folk type hillbilly as it is that simple.  AND if you make shit and sell it, people will learn about it, tell others (and have they yet realize this with the power of the internet!!!!!!) and your car sales drop, ooooooo, ?what happened?!?!?!? GM says.  I don?t care how great they look (well they don?t), how many hot babes you show driving one or looking at me driving one, or how stupid you drive the car in public places (and you would not believe how many millions they blow on these stupid advertisements*) at insane stupid speeds that should only be shown on a D1 Track :wink: GM is full of egotistical idiots, I met them all the time when in Michigan, and when I went to Car Shows, SEMA Shows, Plant Tours etc.  I got so fucking fed up one time (also because they can do better/be the best car maker on the planet, if!!!) and walked up to a young engineer standing there in the Pontiac area at the SEMA show for 2002, John Moss was next to us but was talking to some young cutie (well he?s not too old to still notice a pretty face, or more than the face), I could tell this engineer?s personality right off, head held high, that look on his face that deodorant and toilet paper was for other people (i.e. he don?t stink) and grinning non-stop all day, until I started talking with him.  I began being nice with him, mentioned all the show-off cars looking good and them having the biggest display floor space of anyone there, but I started to slowly work on him, like mentioning the 40th Anniversary GTP they had there (in that same stupid dull looking dark red that they put on the 50th Anniversary Vette, again an insult!), and letting him boast about it, but I said but its just got some badges (small and hard to see) and writing on the inside with some plastic ribs on the roof and some bumps (about all I will call them) running on the hood that were supposed to look like louvers?.  He said ?well it?s a very special package?, you call that special (I was starting to get revved up by now), I said big deal, how about some real hood louvers like in the TGP and 91-GTP?, less tack-on junk and more real-car, and how about maybe 5 more hp at least, I mean you have had the same fucking 240 hp since 1997, and its 2002 and you cannot find even one more hp to show as a performance improvement/sales points, everyone else keeps upping their hp, why not you????  He asked if I had ever driven those 240 hp, boy that was the lamest come-back I had ever heard, but that was all he had to say, I left him alone about the talked-up 4T65E that was not lasting as we were told it would, that then became the 4T65E-HD that still did not hold up and is why the GTX with more hp is no faster then a stock GTP, they de-tune the shifts/back-off on the timing to save the tranny, that?s sick!  By this time John Moss was showing more of his face towards our conversation, with a big grin, which after I calmed down later that evening, figured out it was because him having a clue, has run into the same frustration with ?stupid? in many of the leaders at GM Corporate.  But I was not done, oh no, I said what the fuck is up with all your cars, GP included with all those lame ass rims, I mean you got to have rims on the car to start with so its no effort to pick something that looks good is it?!?!?!  He had a reply, could not believe the reply, but said they felt that if customers wanted, they could get different (better) rims after they bought the car, I looked at him and paused for a moment, looked at John and could see he was waiting for my reply, so I raised my voice even higher and said, what the fuck (sorry hottie standing there) do you really care what people do to their rims/car after they buy it???...aren?t you in the business to SELL CARS!?!?!?!?, well then make the damn things look good on the showroom floor with rims that compliment the car and you will sell more cars!!!!!!!!!, that is your business to just sell the damn cars, hasn?t that been hard enough with you guys making these lame ass looking cars to begin with??  No more comebacks, silent, John looked like he took a sigh as he has had more than his share of frustration telling them what I feel is just common sense, I mean is there anyone on this board that did not get that point, shit like this is easy, maybe too easy for these guys that have a 6 or more year degree and make it more complex (with trying to figure out what cool words to use like ?Thinking outside of the box?) than it needs to be.  So since I was still hot (and it took 2 stiff drinks later to finally mellow me out) I said have you ever seen the Chrysler Town and Country Minivan?...it has some super looking rims is all that ?make? the MINIVAN look damn good, especially for a minivan, and I said I don?t have one and won?t ever buy one, but rims do make the car or van or truck or, even the Dodge Stratus (same rims IMA) with its body style that I would put up against 90% of the cars out there, it was so killer with these rims that it had me really thinking about it, even my wife said with interest ?what car is that????? if it gets my wife?s attention then it does stand out, she notices the nicer stuff, and spotted a BMW 850CSi a half a mile away on a road in Michigan (driven by Paul Gentilozzi )), even a TGP owner here in MN mention the same Stratus to me, and that down in Mexico, they offer it in a ?Turbo? version, ummmmm.  Ok enough from me!!!
