I found at a Junkyard either a 97 or 98 Grand Prix Delco CD player, it looks alot like the 94-96 ones, and it had the side mounts, would this actually plug and play and be able to use SWC? I pulled it myself from a 2nd Gen GP, but they wanted 85$ for it, i didnt have that much, and i didnt even know if it would work or fit correctly

Wasn't there a topic about the later gen radios working with the TGP/TSTE SWC just needed a few changes to the "pin-ins" to the stereo?

You lost one or two functions...but the volume and station controls worked. I will try to find it. 8)

I tried that with the TSTE, pluged in correctly but didnt play CD's, also the sides would need to be modified to fit properly.

If someone would take the time to research the wiring it could possibly be done.  I used to have a bookmark for radio wiring diagrams, got it from some audio web site.
