When i turn on the radio the power antennea kicks on like it suppose to but all i hear is a grinding sound. The antennea can be moved up by the motor but not down. What's wrong? Do i have to change the motor or something. Thanks

Your can replace just the mast, instead of the whole unit. likely the nylon
tooth belt has broken. it was about 25-30 from discount online GM parts dealer.

I replaced my entire unint w/ an aftermarket unit from the local parts store, O'Reiley, and it was almost a perfect fit. It was an aftermarket in Basic Black, looks very sharp, and works. 49.99 + tax
