Buy the way Matt the last time I went out with my friend and raced the TGP and the TA the TGP had no dash lights so therefore no tuning. The TGP was running in the low 14's in street trim. 5 to 6# on the turbo. Found out the tack was shorting out when the lights were turned on. I went through a lot of fuses before I finally figured it out.

Well anyhow went to the 1/4 mile drags Wednesday night with no tach so no shifting, just put in D2 and punched it. Had a ball.  :D Turned a best of 13.558 @ 102.56 over 3 tenths better than its ever gone. :D  Altitude density was 975', almost perfect conditions. Best 60' wasn't good. (2.026) It launches good but about midway through first gear it starts spinning pretty bad and continues on into 2nd gear. Came very close to the wall on one run. It tries to go to the left not the right. I have a pair of MT streets 26 X 10 1/2 wide. Guess I'll have to get some rims.  Had a best 1/8 mile @ 8.602 and had to lift, I think it ran out of gas because the next run went nowhere. I was done for the night and went limping to a gas station. I was probably the slowest car out there. All the big guns were getting ready for the weekend. lots of racing around here. 5 tracks within 1.5 hours.

This thing does an awesome burnout. First time I did it I thought I blew the motor, when I stopped in front of the starting beam smoke was poring out of both sides of the car. Checked the gauges and everything looked ok so off I went after the starter said get going. Oh and no E brake, just a little foot brake in 2nd, jump on it and let the rev limiter do it's thing at 6500. Sounds like the motor is coming apart because the MSD limits RPM's by dropping every other cylinder.

I guess i hadn't got my fix yet or was to excited so I went  to the 1/8 mile drags Saturday night just to watch the big show. And big show it was. This strip is only 20 minutes away. I've raced there before an that's where my brother went under 2 seconds in the 60'. Let me tell you that was the best drag race show I have ever seen. There must have been 50,  5 seconds and under cars. Pro mods, pro mod with nitrous,  pro mod extremes, outlaws, 10.5 cars and just the best show I've seen. AWESOME    racing. I won't miss another one. There all door slammers. They run like funny cars. Saw 8 or 9 sub 3 second runs, some side by side and a bunch of 4.0 runs. I think 3.92 @ 192 was the fastest.  Can't wait for the next one.

These suckers tingle your feet with the vibes and the flames coming out of the exhaust as they go by. The stands are in the middle of the track and you can see them launch( most with the wheels in the air) and actually see the winner. These cars don't go straight for more than 20 feet at a time.  5 tracks within 1.5 hours. AWESOME racing. I won't miss another one. There all door slammers. They run like funny cars. Saw 8 or 9 sub 3 second runs, some side by side and a bunch of 4.0 runs. I think 3.92 @ 192 was the fastest. You can check out Huston Motorsports Park on the net. http://www.houstonmotorsportspark.com/HMP-MESSAGE-BOARD-BANNER-WE.jpg

Take a look at both 1/8 mile times on the slips. Could I have run a 13.30. We will find out next time. Also note the 14.72 @ 69 MPH and no I didn?t hit the brakes . And I still have 5# to go. Man what a ride. I?ll give it hell next time.

Thanks Matt for keeping that list up.

Updated.  Nice job on the new time. Was that still running 5-6psi Jud? Looks like you've got nice top end power gaining 20mph+ in the backhalf of the track. 8) If you have any recent exterior & underhood pictures of your car, send them my way and I'll throw them up on the 1/4 mile page...it's kinda bland with just text.

Thanks Matt.

Your sure up early.

Was running 8-10# boost, 75# fuel pressure with 30# injectors. That's what I meant that I still have 5# to go. Seems to me that the top speed isn't high enough. Gained 3 tenth and only 1 MPH.

I'll get a couple pictures together for you.

Would welcome the competition.  :) I would really like to see more cars running in the 13's. I hope that by showing it can be done  more will follow. All said and done with many broken parts I have finally learned to do it fairly inexpensivly and will pass on any info that anybody wants. Heck i haven't broken anything in over a year.

Love that new rank

Now thats a fast time for a TGP.  I wonder how much quicker you'd be if you go 15-20psi   .
Turbocharged 88 IMSA Beretta GTX <-dam stright.
90 ASC/McLaren Black TGP.

Powermaster slowed my progress like I was piloting the Queen Mary herself--

No Idea. Working on keeping things together for now. You know safe rather than sorry. I'll prolly go up a couple of #'s next time. Am putting in 36# injectors. Don't think the 30# are enough for a 12* run. Checking plugs and compression before I go out again to see if I did any damage.

First priority is rims for the M & H Streets. Gotta get the 60' down. I think the power is there just have to get it hooked up. The 8.602 1/8 mile run tells me there is a bunch left.  That 1/8 mile time equates to a mid 13.3 in the 1/4. :D

The runs I made were with out my strut blockers in the rear. I'll put them in next time. My brother managed a 1.985 60' with them in. All I could do was a 1.995. He was first under 2*. I think the strut blockers are good  for a tenth or 2. Oh yea and a little more gas in the tank.
