!!READ ALL INFORMATION IN THIS THREAD BEFORE TRYING!!

The following is a patch to use for W/B 02 monitoring in TunerPro.

It is not at the moment tested...but a free download if you wish to try! We do not hold any guarantee that this will work, help, hinder, or completely demolish your MOTOR, ECM, ETC. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK!

Good Luck and Have Fun! 8)

Quote from: marsK, I made revisions to a the .xdf, take the new one if you wan't or don't no matter.

Start with that .bin file

Check the readme file there.

A guy on 60degreev6 made it for me...  I haven't tested it yet.

First off, don't thank me, Thank a nice fellow called Ryan Hess.   He did all the work.

Anyways, next, make sure you have the latest tunerpro RT version.  It's available you know where.

Save Kenny's file on your HD.

You'll need to import it into Tunerpro.  Quite easy to do...

Here :

Then hit "connect" to datalog as usual.

MAKE sure you have my .bin file loaded into your EEPROM

found here :

Now,

- To log WB data, you will need to use input C21 on the 7727 OR  F14 on the 7730.

-You will need to scale the proper values of YOUR WB sensor (default is the Innovate Motorsports LC-1)

Here's Ryan Hess on rewiring the ECM, using a pin from a j/y ECM connector :

Quote from: ryan.hessYou can remove the pins with an industrial sized paper clip, but I like using this "corn poker", you know the little handles you pick up at the store for corn on the cob?  Cut off one of the prongs, and remove the sharp end from the remaining one.  Perfect pin removal tool.

Not sure what else you really need to know...  Oh yeah, factoring...

Quote from: Mars

ALSO, does the 0-5V number come in as a 0 - 255 variable (8 bit)?  Just getting my factors right before I do anything else.  My LC1 is programmed for 7.35AFR (0V) to 22.39 AFR (5V)...  So the correct formula should be :

(X * 0.05898) + 7.35

...should display the proper AFR for datalogging, I think...

Even if anyone can test this real fast, leave the input floating and see if it appears in the logs..  Oh man, this would be sweet if it worked.

Ok...loading "your" .bin will completely change someone's settings! Potentially harmful if folks don't pay attention.

What is in your .bin that might be imported to someone's excisting .bin to allow for this logging to happen? I was under the assumption it was just a matter of importing the .ads file to TunerPro, find the data port on the ECM to connect, and we were on our way.

Does this effect current 02 logging and ECM reading?

Can you take a picture or two of how you have yours installed in your ECM? Possibly? Maybe? Please?

mars

That .bin is a COMPLETLY stock auaf, with the exception of having the WB patch.

So, any changes a tuner made to his chip, can be made to the WB chip, without a problem.

I don't know how to make a "patch" file, so instead I posted the whole .bin file..

Here are the differences (locations)

So if you make them changes to your chip (except the CHSECKSUM) it should work fine.

I got you. I will ask Mark Mansur how to make a patch file for TunerPro.

Can you send me an AUAF unmolested file so I can compare and extract the new settings? 8)

thats a stocker.

Ryan Hess made the WB chip, he is very helpful, you can get in touch with him over at 60degreev6.

He said he tried it and it works.

The thread that started it all is here :

Ok so Mark says...

QuoteTunerPro doesn't yet support patching. Unfortunately you'll have to manually copy and paste any changes between compared bins. Typically this can be done by doing a difference finder, then manually copying the differences from one to the other. Don't forget that you can select-all in tables, copy, then paste into the new table.

The next version of TunerPro should make this process much easier...

So I will leave this thread open for those interested in playing with it. I will most likely be buying Moates' Ostrich next month and if I recall right it ties in a WB 02 into the logging also.

This is awesome info Mars and thank you for passing it along!  8)

mars

I just hope it works...  I am almost ready to test it out there soon.

I'll know by Monday for sure.  I shovelled and got stuck and shovelled and got stuck ...ect.  but my car is in the shop now, and Imma go see.

I wasn't supposed to take my car out for another month or so, but my curiosity is killing me.

I have a 7730 unlike most (all) of you, but I'll see soon enough.

Hey guys, guess what....

Works 100% fucking perfectly!   :D  :D  :D

I just tried it out, I was going wait to get to the j/y to pick up a pin for my ECM, but I just ripped out my "A/C pressure" pin on the ECM, and threw it over on pin F14.

Eeehaw!

However, we NEED to make a patch file cause with the stock AUAF or whatever it was, damn my car runs like crap.  LOL.  I smoked up the whole garage in a matter of seconds (as well as I prolbably fouled my plugs, and plugged my cat, but it's all good)

Ohh man, I wanna tune the PE fueling soo bad now, but I have to install a clutch first.  grr.

I am also using a crappy max 232 cable that I made myself for a few bucks...

OK, small update.

This list above here, is legit, all you need to do is make these changes, and the WB patch is "applied"  (the long way), but it is done however, and you only need to do it once.

This means :

-Add all  of these addresses to you.xdf file.

-Change the values to the same as above.

Burn the "new" chip with those changes made and voila, you didn't lose any of your old tunning, and you now have WB dataloggin capability.

I know this thread is hella old, but I wanted to post an updated link to the thread on 60degreev6 that mars had linked to ("the thread that started it all"):
