We all know you have a TGP or TSTE, but what else do you drive?

Mine of course is my Mazda 323 SE Sedan

1990 TGP Chipped RU-1390 K&N
2001 Audi S4 Stage 2
1999 VW Beetle
1997 BMW 740iL

Sorry...only a TGP and a TSTE in my garage.

Sorry if I am kinda highjacking your thread...but I was trying to remember the other day all of the cars  :icon_eek: I have owned in the past 18 years of driving.

Started driving in 1988:

1978 Malibu Classic (swapped in a Olds Rocket 350 3speed manual)
1976 Lincoln Town Coupe with a 460 CID. Was Red with a white landau roof and WHITE leather interior inside. It was my dad's and mine. We called it the pimp mobile. Could easily fit 10 guys/girls inside and another 8 guys in the trunk to go to the drive-in!
1979 Malibu Classic Landau (305 original but swapped in a 454 dual 4 barrel high rise intake and converted to a 4-speed muncie rock crusher)
1984 VW Rabbit GTI that I converted to a turbo setup.
198? Colt turbo. Had an economy and performance shift in it! There was a lever next to the gear shift to change the final drive ratio.
1965 Chevrolet ShortBed stepside pickup. I miss her! 454 4x4 with the lowest low drive I have ever seen. The truck would idle up the side of a mountain in granny 1st gear low 4x4 slower than you would walk and NOT bog if it rolled over a rock!!
1990 GMC Sonoma ST with 2.8 HO motor. Bought it brand new in 1991 (was a left-over for $5200) Only option it didn't have was a CD player...was a $1800 option in 1990.

Joined the military in 1992

1988 Bonneville
1985 or 86 Turbo Toyota 4x4 jacked up 4" with 33" tires on it.
1970.5 Pontiac Trans Am (restored and sold in 1998 :icon_sad: )
1986 RX7 that I turbo charged and ran a 12.1 1/4 mile in Chicago back in 1996
1998 Town and Country van (the newer one that's shape looked like a suppository :icon_rolleyes:)

OTR/regional truck driver for 2 years 1998-2000
1985 Jeep Cherokee

Returned to electronics repair 2001

Bought Waskie's TGP
1989 Toyota Celica GT
1990 Spirit ES
1994 Eagle Talon TSi
Bought GPChief's 1990 TSTE
Bought back my TGP from Luke

18 cars in 18 years and I can assure you some where kept for a couple of years and some for only 6 months!

thanks, it makes a great daily driver to get around town.

The pic of the GTP makes it look clean.. but the paint is pretty trashed. Front bumper needs completely repainted (complete clearcoat failure), I just spend 4 hours on the hood tonight wet sanding and buffing the oxidiation out of the clearcoat, and while it looks better than it did, it's still in pretty sad shape. The rest of the car isn't bad, aside from the clearcoat failure on the driver side fender flares, and the obvious paint runs on the passenger side door. I'll clean her up as good as I can outside and then work on the interior. I purchased some professional leather rejuvenator that I'm going to try that should soften the seats back up (feels like your sitting on cardboard now).

Well, here I go, in order of ownership:

1. 1987 Mitsubishi Montero, alot like the Samurai. Got old and it started acting up. Sold after a year or so.
2. 1989 Pontiac Turbo Grand Prix. Went to hell and had ZERO mechanical skills, but I sold it for 2500 DEAD. Not too bad...
3. 1978 Ford Fairmont Futura. 2 door hardtop, blue with white vinyl roof...Bought for $200, put in a water pump and fixed the leaky radiator, turned around and sold it for $750. Fun car, no front suspension.
4. 1993 Chevrolet Camaro. V6, 3.4, but extremely good on gas. I still have her, and I can pull of over 400 miles on a tank on the highway...rebuilt engine and the works
5. 1994 Ford Taurus. I know. Ford. I bought this for $500 for a winter car while I had the Camaro stored. Surprisingly enough, this car was awesome. Really fast, not an SHO, and it sat unreasonably high due to the wrong shocks being installed in the rear. Crashed her into a pole one icy morning. Sold it for $75 to my buddy's dad who was rebuilding his Sable.
6. Bought BACK the Montero, the same one, from a salvage yard. The people who bought it from me decided to junk it after the couldn't get the carb to work...Well worth it. Fun and dangerous :icon_twisted:
7. 1992 Buick Roadmaster Estate Wagon. 350 V8, Posi rear end, seats 8...we took her out to Ohio last February to pick up my new TGP, and we pulled off over 400 miles to the tank on this thing. Runs great and purrs that oh so sweet small block sound.
8. 1989 Pontiac Turbo Grand Prix. My dream car. I couldn't want any other car. Just like my old one, only better. Currently has running issues, but I will soon have the cash and time to fix that.

I'm acutally not exagerating the gas mileage on those cars, I just drive them good and take great care of them...lol.

Well thanks guys :)

We are anal about our cars, they all get washed and waxed regularly, plus cleaning inside and out.  No beaters allowed.  Grandpa has a MINT '83 Datzun 280zx we also want to get but there is no garage space left :(  I tried convincing dad to taking the Haltech stuff and other mods off the white Beretta and getting rid of it, since it has no A/C and getting something else and use the Haltech for an experiment.  I would like an LSx swap in the Datsun or try making our own Fuel Injection for the Suburban. :icon_eek:
