Since I felt so insignificant and you guys are all cheating saying all your cars, I asked my dad, who would more fit some of you guys' age, what some of his cars were.....Lets just say we would be set pretty good if he would have kept some of these.....

60 T-Bird
'64 Catalina
Numerous '63-'67 Corvairs one even with a V8 swap
Several '67'-'69 Camaros, including '68 and '69 Z/28s
'70 Buick GS STAGE 1!
Frame-off Dragcar rebuild '69 Z/28 Camaro
'79 Z/28
Oh and a Dragster....

Oh how it would be to have some of those cars again :icon_cry:

I had a 1986 Cavalier Z24 for my first car.  I drove an 87 Calais for a bit after I came back from school, then found the TGP in 99.  Had that one since then.  Went through a 91 Pathfinder, 87 Blazer, 93 4Runner, then a
97 Blazer which I just sold.  Then the other TGP.  Oh yeah I had a 91 Calais 442 for about 6 months too.  A few others in there but these are all the significant cars I drove for more than a couple weeks then turned over.

Now, I'm feeling old.

67 Pontiac grand prix (wished I still owned)
70 Volkswagen beetle (restored and still own)
89 Pontiac grand prix LE
2000 Chevy 1500 ext. cab p/u
2001 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (still own)
2002 Toyota highlander limited
2004 Chevy 1500 ext. cab p/u
2005 Toyota Camry (still own)
1990 Pontiac Turbo Grand Prix (just turned over 20k :icon_mrgreen:)

Interesting to see what others have owned.

twinturbosedan

i've owned alot of POS cars

'68 Chevy C-10 long box - 292 I6/4-speed manual (HS auto shop project)

'85 Impala 9C1 350/700R4 (eventually turned into a donor for my Malibu)

'88 Corsica CL 2.8/Getrag 282 (high school car - i blew the engine and trans because i was being an idiot)

'82 Impala 9C1 350/700R4 (CLEAN! i kinda miss this one)

'88 Caprice 9C1 350/700R4 (it was T-boned HARD but ran/drove fine - i bought it as a donor car for my '82 9C1)

'81 Malibu Classic Landau coupe - 350/700R4 - (originally 229ci V6/TH350C, lowered with Belltech drop spindles, redone suspension with PST polygraphite.  it was slow even with the 350 due to 2.41 rear but handled like it was on rails.  i eventually gave up on it due to rust)

'89 Lebaron GTS - 2.2 Turbo II/A555 5-speed (i miss that car sooo much :icon_frown: )

'94 Bonneville SSE - 3800/4T60E (pretty much hated it and sold it to my brother 6 months after i bought it)

i still own the Cutlass Supreme but i can't drive it due to rear suspension problems.  also still own the Turbo STE but its counting down its days before going to the local j/y.

i'm currently shopping for a 2nd GEN Regal or Impala.  i would have loved to get ChiefWiggum's TSTE but the bank only values it at about $3200 :(  kind of a big problem when getting a collateral loan with no extra cash on hand lol.

2000 Audi A6 Quattro - 2.7T/6-speed
1998 Buick Regal GS - L67/HM-4T65E

waskie

1986 Ford Escort L DIESEL - Drove 300,000 miles and sold it for $500
1966 Ford Fairlane - Broke the frame, parts ended up in a sweet GTA
1990 Pontiac TGP - Love at first sight, sold it to Kenny for a bag of hockey pucks
1995 Ford Exploder - Still hanging on, has been a very reliable truck
2002 Acura RSX Type S - Another AWESOME car, traded it in when I found out I needed a 4 door
1985 Jeep Grand Wagoneer - Best riding vehicle I've ever owned, sold it for $500 more than I paid for it two years later
2005 Toyota Camry SE V6 - Good all around car, not your grandma's Camry
1975 Jeep Cherokee - Newest toy, YELLOW = FAST.......right?
Carnies. Circus folk. Nomads, you know. Smell like cabbage. Small hands.

My first car (still have this one as you guys know): '90 Grand Prix STE 3.1 Intercooled Turbo.

2nd Car: (picked up from someones backyard for $200, had H.O. Quad 4 & 5 speed....180hp in 2400lb car means it moved pretty well, drove for winter then sold for $250 to pay for gas to go to PA to pick up my Lumina) FWIW it would get rubber through 3rd gear.    :icon_rolleyes: :icon_redface:

3rd Car: LOVED THIS CAR.  I should've never sold it.   :icon_evil:  It had an LG5 in it and ran 14.7's when I bought it with the addition of 1.6 rockers. I ended up pulling off 14.4's with it before I sold it.

4th Car: I don't have pics of it, but I still have this one. Its a 1986 Trans Am. Basically completely stock with a Carbureted 305 with a T5 trans and 3.42 gears. It is by far the slowest of all my cars.

5th Car: My GT. Needed a DD for going back and fourth from school to MI and this was for sale for cheap so I had to pick it up.

Wow your STE looks nice!

Fixed for you.   ;)  It should look good with the amount of miles that are on it.  I just wish the tranny worked as well as the car looks in that pic.

FWIW I'm on tranny number 4 right now.   :icon_evil:

Original tranny went.  Had it rebuilt by a shop.  That one was never 100% and didn't last very long.  They rebuilt it again and that one was just a nightmare.  So then I got the GMPP one.  That one blew up after like 6 weeks.  So they rebuilt it or replaced it or whatever they did and the one thats in there now has all gears but it slips into gear.  It takes over a full second to shift anytime I'm in the boost.  Without boost it falls right into the next gear with no issues, but with anything over a few PSI and it takes forever to upshift.  And the 1st gear downshift doesn't feel very healthy either.

284 swap time.

Okay, yeah, I mean the 2nd GM replacement one you got, it didn't take long either huh, haha, thats funny.  Did you try getting the dealership to do anything about this one?  Any money back on the trans?
