You must be a Canuck to call a 1989 Mustang a "Cobra." ;)

80 in 2nd gear = are you running the stock axle ratio(if so, get some gears!)? Also, which Tremec do you have in there?

Yeah, agreed, bragging about 80 in 2nd gear isn't much unless its a big HP motor....I don't really see the need of having that tall of gears unless you are road racing on long straight aways?

Dude I'm not bragging I just was saying that it is a fast car.  Don't twist my words! :icon_evil:  I honestly don't know why it is geared that tall I just got the car a week ago! (haven't had time to do anything with it let alone find out why it is geared so tall.)

I'm not calling it a true cobra, that is what the model is called.  It also says "Cobra" on my intake plenium.  On my insurance card it says "1989 Mustang GT/Cobra".  That's all I'm not trying to step on anyone's toes here lol.   ;)

Its geared that tall because its an '89 Mustang with stock gears.  Sounds like it has 2.73's to me.

LOL thanks, dude!  I would also like to add that the motor itself isn't stock.(on the Mustang)  As far as I know from the previous owner it has a racing cam, headers, and a nice exhaust on it.  I know that doesn't make a huge difference but just puttin that out there. :icon_cool:

i'll have to get some pics of my new ride tomarrow :icon_biggrin:  the Cutlass is still the fastest of the bunch but for a stock Regal GS it has some balls!

EDIT:  snapped some pics today:

i drove ~400 miles (one way) to Belgrade, Montana to get it yesterday.  it passed 101,000 miles on the way home.  very very clean inside and runs/drives super!  it was was sold new in Phoenix Arizona and stayed in Arizona until September 2005 so NO rust at all.  i got it for $4270 which is about $2400 below NADA average retail so i'm happy!
