Thanks for the correct spelling (Umpqua) and the sympathy. Biggest blow I have had maby ever. Dad died last year at 86 and it wasen't as bad as this. I knew he was going. Mother passed about 20 years ago from cancer and I just prayed she would go in her sleep. She did.

Yea my theree grand sons have been off this cliff a hundred times. Don't know what the hell happened. My daughter said the river was low at the time. I guess he just miss judged.

Let thAT be a warning to all who attempt this kind of stuff. Iv'e done it and I imagine most of you young guys have. BE CAREFULL PLEASE.

From a member of your stature and the reasoning I have no concern! I am truly sorry for your family and all involved! It is a terrible loss for you and the feelings of the mebers on here are heartfelt I am sure! We have all experienced losses in our lives and it hurts.
