I think i found my loss of power.  My EGR mounting gasket is shot and is spewing exhuast.  Could this cause unsteady boost?  The car doesnt pull that hard in second and feels like its getting flooded.  Also could a code 45 (rich exhaust) flood the power?  It doesnt like second gear to the floor, it pulls better when its not all the way to the metal.

Also third gear bangs when it upshifts unless i let go of gas for a sec and manually shift.  Could my kickdown cable really have something to do with that?  How tight is it supposed to be?  Mine kinda feels loose but i thought they were only for downshifting??  There usually called kickdown cables so i dont unsterstand what it has to do with upshifting.

Im gonna try to find that button you guys were talking about on the grinders18 discussion.  Thanks

Why did you need a new one? Did the old one wear too thin?

the plastic all cracked off from not having a heat shield on it. also the heat made the cable strech out so much it was useless.

Did they install it, too, for that price?

hey Grinders... you better hope your car doesnt run like mine....   If i back the car up to a white garage, and rev, instant black spots about 2 feet wide on each side.  Pretty bad...

GangsTGP  - can i ask what exactly your trans was doing before you got the cable replaced?

Also, i cant figure out what motor mount is still bad.  I just replaced the lower motor mount.  The trans mount doesnt look bad.  Dog bones dont look bad.

nobody touches my car anymore except me.
LOL

Im tellin ya, 8 washers on the dogbones is all you need to firm them up just right.

my tranny shifted just like shit all the way up to the point when I replaced the TV cable. its 1 bolt to remove and the hook comes out, then you hook it into the new cable and bolt it back down. flawless shifts now with my Aamco built tranny except OD still dont work due to me flogging it with no valence and the shifter in OD position.

why it helped so much, I have no idea.
