I need some help from people with some turbo knowledge. I used to think I was a car guy until this turbo came into my life. My problem starts like this. My first turbo on the car dropped 2 quarts of oil into my exhaust. Replaced with another spare turbo that I had no oil leaking now. The car never had boost from day one tried IC cleaning and all turbo hoses. Runs alittle better but still no boost WG seems fine to me it has spring on the rod. Could it be that the oil is clogging my cat or that electric vacuam switch on the intake. Please help me I want to get out there and smoke some 5.0's soonEngine sounds healthy at idle no missing at all.

How are you verifying there is no boost? If you are using the stock boost guage, dont count on it. The one in mine is bad, and I am sure others here will tell you they go bad, and even when working, are not acurate.

Also, if you are listening for the BOV sound when getting off the throttle, and are still using the stock intake, you will not hear it. Just the nature of the beast for some reason.

I thought my turbo was dead when I got my TGP. Then I put the K&N filter on it, that changed my mind in a pretty quick hurry. Take out the stock air filter system from the fender well all the way to the turbo. Drop in a Cone K&N filter, I think the number is RU1730 (someone correct me if I am wrong). And if you havent done it yet, you are going to need a new chip to even hang with the 5.slows. There are a couple members here that make custom chips. Or you can hang around and see if a JeffM chip comes around.

Thanx for the help . When I drive the car the turbo whine is noticable but the car just dont go anywhere it just lags so bad. it seems that the wastegate isnt opening but I dont know how  to really test it right. I have taken the vacuam lines off and took that rod off and still the same problem. I have changed the transmission and turbo since I got the car and still cant get the thing to go the way it should. I even took the air filter out and still the same NO GO feeling. How can I check if the problem is in the wastegate  or the electric switch on the intake without damaging this turbo or my trans.

check all of the connections to make sure the entire intake line is in tact, i.e. down at the bottom of the intercooler.  If you had a lot of oil in the intercooler it may have slipped when you removed and reinstalled it.  Happened to many of us, when I installed the Top Gun chip it blew the bottom coupler right off the IC.

Thats the first thing to try.  Any other symptoms to speak of?

So if I'm understanding correctly, your biggest issue is the car feels like it bogs down and doesn't go?  Are you sure this is a boost issue?  There are many, many other factors that can cause this.  My turbo STE bogs in light throttle, too.  I'm pretty sure it's a TPS issue, though.  Bad coils, bad injectors, dying fuel pump, etc.  Tons of things to look at before looking at a turbo related issue.
