It does NOT chatter.  When under light throttle, it just feels like a delay, and gets going slowly after a second.  Under a little more throttle, it is like hesitation, but not from the engine- it will rev up at first and barely move, then all of a sudden, it is like a kickdown- it takes off after the moment of hesitation.

Sounds like his TQ converter isnt pumping fluid to keep all the clutchs engaged while he is stopped. Either that, or there is a clog in the tranny cooler, or lines.

GOOD NEWS!!  I swapped my tranny check valve out with a new one and put it on the correct way, did an idle relearn, went out and drove it- it DOESN'T slip anymore!!!  Everything works perfectly now and the shifts are good and firm now.  WOW I'm surprised how well everything works now- it feels like a totally different car!! Next, I have to replace my lower engine mount - I picked it up from NAPA yesterday for $41.00.  I'll replace it later this week when I go to work.  I'm still gonna drop the tranny oil pan, flush the tranny and replace the filter for good measure while I have it up on the stand.  :icon_cool:

those napa ones are good. I got one on one of my cars. I actually like it better than the dealership one, seems a little firmer.

I went for another drive today, about 20 miles, and it ran great, shifted great, no slipping or any other problems.  But, when I was 5 minutes away from home, my check engine light turned on.  When I got home, I checked the codes and got CODE 32.  What is this?  I have never had this code before.

IIRC correctly that code has something to do with either the MAP sensor or the O2 sensor.  Someone around here should be able to help you find the link or list of all the trouble codes.

It doesn't run anymore.

Code 32 is for the EGR. Since Shawn already has it typed out, it's easier to link you here...

I can scan up the pages from the service manual on that code w/ the diagnostic flow chart included if you want. ;)

My Trofeo is throwing codes. Not sure if its a 41 or a 14. Hope its a 14....

Thanks Matt, but Krenzy sent me the diagnostic chart last night.  I appreciate it though!  ;)
