Old post, but linkie no longer works.

So with that being said, can someone post a step by step on how to get the Dash pad, hud, and speedo out. I think my HUD mounts are broken, and trying to fix that. I also want to do the Speedo lighted Turbo Upgrade.

Thanks...

Probly would make a nice sticky, or at least add the speedo upgrade to the original post on how to take the speedo out.

If nobody beats me to it, I'll scan or take some large photos of the pages from the service manual regarding dashpad, HUD, and IP cluster removal sometime tomorrow.

Guys- it is EASY to take your dashpad off, remove your cluster, etc.
Go to W-body.com, the procedure is there under the problems/solutions/prevention section.
Very simple- Yesterday I soldered my gauge cluster, took apart my HUD and cleaned it- very easy, just a few screws. Then I put it all back together.  I couldn't believe how much brighter my HUD is now that I cleaned all of the glass, mirrors, and little display inside the hud.  :icon_mrgreen:

I know it's easy, but for someone that possibly hasn't ever taken apart the interior, it's good to have a visual reference. Here's the link to Shawn's instructions from the W-body board.

*I'm still planning on posting those pages I mentioned, I'll remind myself to post them this afternoon. ;)
