remove intercooler paint

ok i know there's info out there about doing this, but i can't find it. searched here and on w-body. i know there is something i can soak this thing in and get rid of all the paint on it and then leave it bare. appreciate the help guys

i'd probablly soak it in Berryman's Chem Dip (though i've never actually tried).  that's how i clean the inside (which works GREAT!) but i would think it would probably take the paint off too since after 17-18 years most of the IC paint is flaky and already coming off anyway.  you could also probably just use paint thinner, but i'm not sure how that affects aluminum.

paint stripper did it for me

just don't gob it on and get it into the fins as its a pain to get out.

take your time and you will have good results.
