I want to tint the windows on my TGP.  I found these pics and was wondering what % tint you guys think this is?  I really like how this looks and would be my ideal look.

that is light tint.........i would say 50 percent on the second set of pics.  The first set i would say 35 percent.  Those are my guesses.  What is the legal limit in minnesota.  In wisconsin it is 50 percent on the front at 35 percent on the back windows.

TGP Nick

In Minnesota, the LEGAL limit is 50%, but I was considering tinting my TGP 35%.  I REALLY like how the first TGP above looks.
Here is where I'm looking at tint:

I'd say 20% on the first one, 35% on the 2nd...

Prospeeder's car appears to have 35% on it. Dave's car in the first post looks to be about 20%, but it's hard to tell under those lighting conditions.

My TGP has 35% on it and it's too light in my opinion(limit here is 32%, but nobody here that has darker than that gets stopped for it, they make enough money off of people speeding  ). I'm eventually going to get the car redone in 20%.

and another that shows how light it is under certain lighting conditions.

Hey Nick. When I got my Camaro, I had 15% on it LOL...trust me, they WILL bust you for anything over 50%. My friend's SHO was tinted 50% and he kept getting pulled over...eventually he did away with it, just so they left him alone.

Sure looks nice, but keep this in mind: In MN, you can have NO tint on the windshield, unless you have a written note from an optometrist, 50% on side windows, and I beleive the same for the rear. If you have a truck it's different rules.

Your choice, whether you wanna get pulled over; once you're outta the small towns and into the bigger ones, you'll get nailed lol. I got my ticket for the Camaro's and took it off. Oh well...another time!

50% is light, it means 50% of the light is transfered through it, 15% means 15% of it was transferd why would he keep getting busted for anything OVRER 50%? that would be even lighter....

15% of light shown through, meaning it was darker. That's why. One cop told me "We don't know if you're a normal person in there or a guy with a loaded shotgun pointed at us." lol...that made me laugh. The percentage, as in 15 % or 25 % means that is the percent of light allowed through. The lower the perentage, the less light.

Tint the three back windows 100% and 50% for the driverside and passenger side windows also a nice strip across the front window gives some more shade when driving in the sun ;)
