I need to buy a power antenna for my 1990 TGP.  I'm looking for one that is in new (if possible  ;) )or very good condition.  Anybody who has one, please let me know.
Thanks,
Nick

I guess the only question I got to ask is what is wrong with yours, is it unfixable. When I bought my car I replaced the relay hook to it and that fixed it ;)

My mast is bent and some of the segments are stuck together- I've already tried to "unstick" the segments with no success.  It doesn't get a good signal... ever- all radio stations are fuzzy.  It doesn't go up all the way, and it doesn't always like to go all the way down   I have no idea what the previous owner did to this car.... :icon_rolleyes:
So to answer your question, it works, but not very well and it has finally annoyed me to the point that I want to replace it.

you can purchase a mast assembly from GM, but installing it is a bitch and might not work right afterwards.  It is difficult to find on in decent condition, and to be honest, they are extremely difficult to find functioning in a yard.  Your best bet it to try the mast replacement, maybe purchase the parts and have the dealer install it into the antenna asm for you, that way if its FUBAR you can tell them to fix it.  ?? ;)

Good luck!

did you check on just the mast kit?  IIRC it's under $50, but I dont know for sure. Don't let them stick you with an all new antenna, I was just saying have the dealer install the mast kit so if it f***s up they are responsible.  Either way good luck man!
