Hey, so I am still workin out the bugs in the TGP, changed the plugs and that fixed the boggin out problem I have been having. Now I appear to have a possible problem with the tranny, it sometimes seems like it doesn't want to shift. I checked the fluid and it is right up to the full mark on the stick, and still a nice light pink color, so it's not low or burnt. but sometimes when I am pretty wide open on the throttle it seems like it doesnt want to shift, I have to let off for it, which I understand, but it should hit a point where it is just gonna shift, it doesn't really jump or anything, it is a pretty smooth shift when it goes, it just doesn't seem like it is shifting where it should. I was thinkin maybe it might be a computer problem, cuz when I stop driving it and let it idle for a min for cooldown, the SES light comes on, but the thing with that is it does not come on while driving, the only light that comes on once in a while is the check gauges light, but I think that is just a bad connection on the board, cuz my old GP used to come on and off for no reason too and I learned that there was a problem on the board that it gets loose or something. The idle seems rather smooth, has the normal GM skip/click sound that the 3.1s liek to make, but nothin out of the ordinary there.

The most likely cause of it not wanting to shift is a loose TV cable.  Here is how you can fix it.
If you look at the linkage on the throttle body, there are 3 different connections.  The bottom 2 are the throttle linkages.  On the top there is a single black connector.  That is the TV cable.  If you follow that line and look back you will see a small black box.  Looks like that- its a button....if you push it, it will unlock so you can adjust it.
The easiest way to check it is to press the button, then push the cone that is connected to the end of the cable that the connector extends from all the way back in, you will hear it click....When its all the way back in, while still pushing it down, open the throttle all the way, then release the button, that is approximately the proper adjustment.

Here is a pic showing where the adjustment "button" for the TV cable is.

Is your turbo wrapped? If not that cable will melt where it goes into the trans.

Before I swapped out for a 5speed, I wrapped both turbo and cable, because I got tired of buying them. :icon_cool:

yes, the turbo is wraped, I didn't get a chance to get to it today, I am probably callin into work tomorrow, so I might have a chance then to do it. I will update when I get around to it.
