Well i wanna make sure im not worrying over nothing. Somtimes, when im driving on the highway only, after proly 20-30 minutes ill go to pass some1 and it will Clunk loudly and u can feel it slam as it downshifts from overdrive to passing gear. It also will do it getting off the highway, u stop after getting off the highway, and start going and as it shifts into 2nd fine then third, but if i try to accelerate and it needs to go back into 2nd or what ever it does that heavy clunk and u can feel it slam into gear. Im abut worried about that. The fluids bright and pink, just had a full flush a few months ago. Other than that it shifts and drives perfect, city and all. Its just those 2 senarios it has that issue. Is that anything to worry about?

Mine does the exact same thing but shifts great otherwise. It very annoying but hopefully its not hurting anything.I do plan on replacing the transmission vac modulator for the heck of it.Maybe someone will chime in and let us know something.

Here are two things you guys should check and replace.

1. Replace your trans CHECK VALVE- part # 47150 on the HELP! rack at your local auto parts store.

2. Replace your lower motor mount- it is probably shot if it hasn't been replaced yet- you can get a new rubber one at Napa for $40.  Also replace your dogbones- I believe they are $20 from Napa.

check valve, and modulator are new, and the upper mounts are new also, less than a month old. Lower mounts are original and im pretty sure dead

Yeah, then it is most likely your lower motor mount- I'd replace that. ;)

Yeah. Try the lower motor mount. I went with a solid instead of hydraulic. I still get a clunk once in a while. Maybe when parked on a hill going into reverse. But overall changing the lower mount(s) fixed the shifting problems.

edit: Replaced the transmission mount at the same time. Not sure which one was the real cuprit. Do em both.

The tranny mount goes bad too...when I had a shop estimate the time to do it, it was close to 4 hours worth of shop time...so one of those things I've learned to live with lol.
