Passenger mirror is fine, but driver mirror will only move up and down. I thought is was the switch but since it works for the other side now I'm thinking it's the mirror motor. Any help, ideas, would be appreciated...T :damnit1:

My mirror only moves outward, not up, down, or inwards...the reason is, I believe, this:

The mirror itself has "mounts" if you will...there are two plastic screw-like pieces attached to the back of the mirror, as well as a metal bar. The base that the mirror attaches to has two holes, one for each plastic screw like piece, as well as a holder for that metal bar. My advice, pull the mirror off, and try to press those pieces into their mounts.

I have been meaning to do this since I fixed my girlfriend's mirror on her Cutlass and figured this stuff out.

Both my motors were bad when I bought the car, so went to local J/Y and found two off reg. GP that fits. it also did the same as yours they would only move up and down. I also thought it was the switch and change it to not knowing. hope this helps

Both my mirrors work, kinda...

Both mirror moves left, up, down. But neither move right. I took the switch out of the door and pressed on the wire backing thing, and it worked, both sides. Still have no idea how to fix it..
