Well my junk yard turbo has way to much radial play in the bearings.  I was going to get it rebuilt (please post any places that can give a good rebuild) but I figured before I drop the cash I would see if anyone on here has a good turbo they would be willing to sell.  I'm looking for a stock turbo T25 I believe for the TGP or TSTE.  Please post up with prices.  Thanks!

Ken

Dave here had his turbocharger rebuilt by CheapTurbo.com with good results. Check out this old thread here.

They can do a standard rebuild for as little as $250 on a T25.

I had mine rebuilt by them, but I had it done all out...converted to a T-28 Hybrid, 360 thrust bearing, Stage 3 compressor wheel, port and polish...all that hikes the price right up.

I'll stand behind their quality; the turbo has given me zero trouble and has held up strong thus far.

How much did all that cost you?

For my custom rebuild/upgrade? I touched a grand for it. Maybe it would've been cheaper to buy a totally different one, but I have my reasons for doing it the way I did :icon_wink:

For $250, the listed shop does a stock rebuild. I trust them 100%.

I'm going to install this stuff in the spring so not immediately unless you are looking to sell one now, of course then I'll buy it.  As long as it is good.

Bump for an old thread.  I'm getting ready to send my turbo out to turbochargers.com for a rebuild and was going to give the used turbo route a shot.  Anyone got a good or even bad one I can buy?

Almost all T25s have hairline cracks by the wastegate flap,  all turbochargers.com is going to do is disassemble it and tell you your screwed.  Thats my experience anyway, good luck.  Unless all it needs is a bearing and seals then you might be alright.

From all the T25's I've had, the only one that had cracks was the one that was 'modified' .  The rest either ate a coupler or seals were leaking.
