Other recomendations..
Exhaust crossover needs to be rebuilt
Upgrade your injectors to the Ford yellow tops
Replace all vacume lines, and PCV line and valve
Make sure you use the GM (not aftermarket) O2 sensor
upgrade to a 3 bar MAP
Do a Throttle Body bypass
A Kenny chip
A built auto trans..
uhm, I cant think of anything else, but thats a good start..

swapping a LG5 into a j body requires a custom crossover anyways.

Use a getrag 282 from a 5spd Z24, not an Isuzu 4 cyl 5spd trans.

IIRC: IF he has a 2.8 in that 89 J body he should have the getrag.  Also if he has to, he could use the 8:8:1 LHO instead of the LB6.

If i were doing that swap i wouldnt use the topend of that motor, very restrictive IMO... 22 injectors are good for stock motor if you go that route but a chip could be made to run any size you want.  Also i dont see a point for a 3 bar since a t25 can barely make 12 pounds efficiently.  Kenny burns 3 bar chips now? new to me... anyway,  Your oil hookups should be right there, one goes into the block and the other goes right into the top of the oil pan.  just SLAP it right together ... J/k  Good luck.

turbo lines:

oil supply line - comes out of cylinder block right above (and just left of) oil filter.  starts as a ~6" braided hose and goes into a metal hard line; then up to the top of the center section of the turbocharger.

oil return - big tube on bottom of center section of turbo, has a ~12" hose going to a metal tube that comes from the front of the oil pan.

coolant supply - this one is kind of confusing.  it starts at the 'T' above the waterpump.  one side of the 'T' goes to the heater core, the other side goes down to the oil cooler (on a TGP).  after it goes through the oil cooler (between oil filter and block), it goes to another 'T' fitting.  one side of this 'T' fitting goes to a restrictor fitting that goes right into the cylinder block.  the other side goes to the bottom side of the center section of the turbocharger.

coolant return - comes from the top of the center section of the turbocharger and "merges" with the heater core return line (above front valve cover on a TGP).  this line dumps coolant from the turbo/heater core into the top of the water pump.
