Yeah...strangely, I've seen many with the same horn in that same place. My first TGP had the same one mounted there, too. I've also seen the same and same in the picture section on turbograndprix.com.

My alarm horn is hidden under the black plastic covers behind the headlights.  Its smaller though.

hell yea! I was going to clean her up today and do a small tune-up, more of a diagnostic to see what's up with the idle, but then it started raining...FAIL.

What's the idle problem? Can you describe it? LOL if you get bored tonight, read through "Grinders 18 Rolling Learning Thread" in the Problems and Solutions section and see if you can get a rough idea..

Just remember, the best way to keep a new TGP running great, is to do a full tune up, replacing all sensors. I learned the hard way.

Ya i've had a 3.1 before, i know it's different, but i can tell pretty generally things such as idle. Hell actually i can tell you ANY bolt size on ANY part of a 3.1 and the easiest way to get to ANY of them while it's still in the car. I still have the '92's block...hmmm....engine build time?

Speaking of bolt sizes, I need two. The two little round bolts that hold the IAC sensor into place on the throttle body. What size are they? Yeah I'm serious too lol.

Very nice car!!

For your idling problem.....is the crossover original?  if it's original, I would replace it now, along with a complete tune up and a new chip.  You should be good to go then!

ya it's definitely original. But i'm actually thinking it's still in damn good shape. I mean even the turbo itself has DAMN near ZERO shaft play, and still puts out pretty good boost. But yea it's in the list for replacement. Just did plugs/wires, but the battery died in the process (cell is pretty much gone, just the hood light killed it) tried to jump it, but it's too dead.

But ya, crossover and chip are definitely on the list...incmoe taxes baby!

If you don't like the alarm horn just run an auto relay from the alarm system to the factory horn output.  Thats what I did on my gpse......
