Ok gotcha. Just never heard it referred to as an exhuast snail. Um, check eBay, I'd say for your best bet. Maybe someone here has a spare one?

Yes that is what he wants but I'm not sure if that will work looks like it has too many bolt holes to work with out center housing.......I have a spare but it is not flat and leaks at the interface of the down pipe.  If you are still interested pm me we can work something out.

you should be able to get those out, and if you can't they can always be drilled and re-tapped to a size larger bolt.  Unless the turbo is shot that would be my route.

It doesn't run anymore.

THANKS FOR ALL THE  REPLIES!  I SAW THAT TURBINE HOUSING ON EBAY BUT IT IS NOT THE RIGHT ONE FOR OUR TURBOS.  I DID TAP MY HOLES OUT TO A 9MM 1.25 THREAD PITCH AND THEN WENT TO THE AUTO STORES AND THE BOLT SIZES AVAILABLE AR EITHER THE 8MM OR 10MM.  THE 10MM BOLT HEADS APPEAR TO PRESENT A CLEARANCE ISSUE WITH THE CROSSOVER FLANGE. I AM THINKING OF MAYBE USING THREADSERTS AND PUTTING THE ORIGINAL SIZE BOLTS BACK IN.  JUST THOUGHT I'D CHECK AND SEE IF THERE WAS A HOUSING FOR SALE THAT WOULD END MY UNCERTAINTY. :smirk:

I drilled them out and used a bolt and nut. Easy to remove as the bolt itself. Just use a wrench to hold the other end.

You can always drill and retap the holes.  The next size up that is standard is 3/8 - 16.  Use a 5/16 drill bit to drill out the metric threads, then retap using the 3/8-16 tap.  Make sure to use plenty of oil or tap magic when tapping those holes.  A 3/8-16 thread will require you to drill out the down pipe flange a bit tot he 5/16 bit to clear the threads when installing.  Or you can use a stud with 3/8-16 on one side and a smaller thread on the other and a nut.  Either way it can be repaired without using a helicoil.  I'm not sure how they will hold up with that kind of heat........they may seize up on you.

Hi Everyone! Just about to get my Kenny crossover back and am curious about one thing. For those of you that removed your turbos before, what did you use to rewrap and insulate the turbine portion of your turbo? The factory blanket fell apart on removal when removing mine.  I have seen the one piece jackets for sale on ebay for a T-2 turbo. I assume that this is the same size as our t-25's.  I have also seen the strips of insulating header wrap material in tape-like strips. Any advice on which is best and which ones did you use? :icon_confused: Also, do any of you recommend using the downpipe to turbo gaskets and the crossover to turbo gaskets like the ones they sell on ebay?  My turbo used no gaskets from the factory.   Should I use them or not? Any comments or suggestions would be greatly appreciated, especially before I buy the wrong thing.  Thanks :icon_biggrin:

I wrap the exhaust manifolds, crossover, turbo center and exhaust housing, and downpipe with HEADER WRAP!  Do not use the adhesive shiney wrap on the exhaust manifolds!  That is for RADIANT heat protection and is NEVER to be applied directly on the heat source, it will probably catch fire  :icon_eek:  good luck.  Thermocool makes some good exhaust header wrap.
