Hey guys i have a 89 TGP that needs a trans anybody have one?  I am also on w-body forums under the same name.  I am also looking for a front valence, and black TGP emblems.  Any leads appreciated.

Make sure you get a TGP trans, 4T60HD model...there isn't a rebuilt KIT for it, if I'm not mistaken...the TGP trans had a stronger transmission, but apparently the world was never informed, so no aftermarket kits were made.

I scored a TGP trans off a guy on W-Body, was just rebuilt, and have less than a thousand miles on the rebuild. I was HOPING to keep my old trans, but apparently I left it at the shop too long and they scrapped it.

A 4T60 will bolt up, but will not withstand the power for long. Also, make sure it is not a 4T60E, since the "E" means electronically controlled...which our trans are not. Basically, up to the 1990 model year.
