Could someone please explain to me exactly what a MAP sensor does and what is so different about ours than a NA 3.1?

MAP sensor =  manifold absolute pressure sensor.  Measures the pressure in the intake manifold.  NA engines only read up to 1 Bar or 14.7 PSIA which is also 1 atmosphere.  The TGP MAP sensor reads up to 2 Bar or 2 atmospheres or 29.4 PSIA or 14.7 PSIG  which is why we cant run more than 14.7 psi in our turbocharger setup without going to a different map sensor and special 3 bar tuning.  Hope this helps.
