Hey guys. Another Problem with my TGP. MY anten. is so bent from my spoiler it looks like a peice of bacon!!!. DONT LET your mom or gf drive the car if it has a spoiler..or hell dont let the mdrive it at all lol. Well is there a way i can just change the mast?

How can your spoiler cause the antenna to be bent? :?

Well my mom leaves the car running when she puts shit in the trunk...with the radio on so when the trunk lid goes up the antenna gets bent down. the spoiler is about 1 - 1 1/2 over hang on each side of the back fenders.

Yeah, just the mast is $30 at the dealer. Not too hard to replace, but you should remove the cover on the side of the antenna assy and remove the bits of cable that  might be in there.

I couldn't stand this problem, so I went to the junkyard and found a switch that goes on the trunk latch and a relay off of the power antenna, and wired it in to put the antenna down when the lid opens.

what kind of ant originally came with TGP? mine came with a telescoping ant that goes up about 6ft :D !

I think mine has been changed before because when i bought the car *real cheap* the guy gave me some extras, and one of them was an antenna..but i tried that one a few weeks ago and shes also fuckd up. i took both apart one was busted insdie with the plastic gears and the other was fine i made 1 out of 2 but now the other one doesnt go all the way up..whats up with that?..she does go down *LOL* the antenna goes down..not my gf lol...but she wont go all the way up..any help is good.

ohh! so the stocker was a power unit then.  I may just pick up an aftermarket then.  Mine is really ugly :cry:
