This last week and a half has been a pretty eventful for me.  On Sunday evening (9/1), my dad and I packed up and left Minnesota, and drove all the way down to Phoenix, Arizona, arriving on Thursday afternoon (9/5).  The trip was approximately 1,800 miles, and I drove my Ranger down, my dad drove our '92 E350 boxvan down.  We just tried to take the trip slow, so we didn't work the old van too hard- it is an old 460 V8 with 240k on it and just over 10 MPG to boot!  We cruised at 60-65 MPH the whole way and drove about 8-10 hours a day.  The van ended up using 2 gallons of oil during the trip, not sure where it was going.. it wasn't smoking and didn't appear to be leaking too badly... and averaging 10 MPG, but it held up the whole trip that consisted of a lot of strong wind, a few strong rainstorms, mountains at 10,000-12,000 feet, and desert heat, so it did its job.
The little Ranger held up well during the trip also, averaging 32.5 MPG for the whole trip, with a best of 38 MPG at one of our stops.  I am very happy with the little truck now. :icon_cool:

So.. Arizona.. its pretty warm down here, was 110*F when we got here, and it has been hovering around 100* pretty much everyday.  It is very comfortable actually, since the humidity here is only about 10-15%.  I think the lowest the humidity ever was when I was in MN was like 40% in the dead middle of winter.  It is beautiful down here, lots of palm trees, and the area is very nice and clean.  Everyone is very nice here, and some of the girls I have seen so far are spectacular :icon_eek:
Other than that, not much is new here.  It has been the same ol' same ol'.  I've gotta admit though, I have been a bit bored, being that I don't know anyone down here yet, but hopefully I will start meeting some people fairly soon here..

So I'm back.... Hi everybody!
