just got a quick question.... my egr pipe is broke and car idles really high, how would it run if i temporarily capped it off on the crossover and left the hose dangling ?

I dont think there will to much difference. Go to local junkyard and get one off a 2.8 they bolt right up.

I haven't had a problem yet, going on three years. Plus I paid a welder guy like $10 to make a blockoff plate for the EGR

hmm so theres no egr valve on the car, is your tune aware of that?

  No sir, but have always heard that its a good idea to do so.
