what trans. will work?

Ok since trying to find or even rebuild my transmission for my TGP will be a little much for me to pay out my questin is..... Which w- bodies had the 5 speed setup in them. I understand the GP's from 88- 93, Luminas 90-93 and some Cutlass's had them, but man I cant find them anywhere. What other options do I have? Thanks guys.

Getrag 282 out of a 88-90 5 spd 2.8 or 3.1 W

Getrag 284 out of a 91-93 5 spd LQ1 W

or with a lot of work

the 6 spd out of a 3900 powered G6 GTP coupe

also 1991's with the 3.1 have a 282

Really? I have never seen a 91 5spd 3.1 W

oh they definiatly had them. Even the 3.1 4 door w's could have the 5 speed

not doubting the 4 doors. I just have only seen LQ1/284 cars in 91.

Yeah and do you think I can find a donor car here in PA. HAHAHA No luck yet, but still looking.

I've never seen a 91+ with a 3.1/5-speed combo. I'm pretty sure the 5-speed only came on the LQ1 from 91-93.
