Quite simply, its very very cold out, and has been that way for a while.  Changed the waterpump on my car the other night and when I went to start it back up, there was no fuel preassure at the rail.  The pump is getting power as verified by probing the pump harness with a testlight.  But there is no sound from it running and no preassure on the rail.  I have not been using line antifreeze or drygas consistently and have heard from several people that fuel pumps DO, in fact freeze, but it is rare.  Can anyone confirm this happening to them before?  Or possibly a solution to it?  Its gonna be cold for a while and Wont be able to tell until it goes above freezing.  I doubt the pump is actually dead as it is only 18 months old.

Thanks in advance!

The pump may be worn inside and the tolerences are affected by the cold and would "freeze" your pump, but gas will not freeze. If you have water in your line the water will freeze. Get some gas dryer additive and give that a try... 8)
